freebrook: "conditioning" incentives??

So, everyone thought Dougie's incentives in his new contract were performance incentives?  Haha...no.

The Red Sox are paying Doug Mirabelli $750,000. He can also earn up to $150,000 in conditioning incentives. That's right, he can make extra money just for staying in shape

Ohhhh I love our Dougie :)

mdyesowitch: Doug in Season

What a season Doug is having. He had a great game Sunday, and another relatively good outing yesterday. It's a great year to be a Mirabelli fans. People stop by to look at Mirabelli montage hanging outside my office and give pride to the Belli.
I'm working on a grandslam icon, but I having trouble with the animations. I'll get it figured out eventually.

mdyesowitch: Dougie

Name: Marci
Age: way too old for this
Location: Bedford, MA
Favorite Player(s): Derek Lowe, Doug Mirabelli, Doug Mientkiewicz, Shea Hillenbrand.
Favorite Team: Boston Red Sox
Favorite Park: Riverfront Stadium, Three Rivers Stadium, Nickerson Field, and okay, fine, Fenway Park.
Favorite thing about Doug: The way he makes it look so easy. On any other team, he's a starter, and he had to know that, but he patiently stays because he's needed here. It can't be easy being in the shadow of Jason Varitek, but he does it with grace, and style. And if Matt Clement keeps pitching like he pitched this weekend, Varitek will boycott and Doug will get two days of work instead of one.
I have a Doug Mirabelli montage hanging on my cube wall to remind me that all cogs in the machine are necessary to keep the machine working, and there's a different between being a backup catcher and elevating backup catcher to an art form.

insidemymaze: Yay!

I couldn't resist -- this is the best idea for a community ever! I should have thought of it before... anyway, here's my survey:

Name: Jessica
Age: Soon to be twenty.
Location: Youngstown, Ohio presently.
Favorite Player: Doug Mirabelli and Doug Mientkiewicz... and Manny...oh and Barry Zito. So I have four, sue me.
Favorite Team: Boston Red Sox!
Favorite Park: Fenway, brotha!
Favorite thing about Doug: I love that he doesn't wear batting gloves. Is that weird? I bet. But I really do think it's cool. Doug Mientkiewicz doesn't either, by the by. I think I have a thing for that. :\ I also like that he's the catcher -- I do have a catcher_fetish, thanks. (coughshamelessplugcough)
